"Your desk is always covered in bears."

The problem with employees, you see, is everything. That sentence epitomizes the attitude of the corporation that takes center stage in Max Barry's Company. It's a satire of corporate life. It's funny and also somewhat sad. I am going to be on the lookout for his previous novel, which is about brand marketing.

"None has any idea what is happening, but as a young man clambers onto the boardroom table and holds up his hands for quiet, they all feel the same sickening feeling: the bulwark of the suggestion box has failed." And to think it all starts with a missing donut....
