I like the idea of a modern version of the ivy-covered wall (although it's actually not ivy here). This is a bit in front of the wall, which allows for light into the building and minimizes the damage that plants do to the walls. It also helps shade and cool the building. Plus it most look really beautiful from the inside. It's very simple, but so striking.
Definitely follow the link, because the designer comments on their post and tells more about the design. I'd love to do something like this, but it doesn't seem well-suited to a house, somehow. A library would look great, thought.
