"A Hellacious Terrordome of Banality"

The Nasty Bits: Collected Varietal Cuts, Usable Trim, Scraps, and Bones by Anthony Bourdain

I'm not sure what to say about this. If you liked his other books, you'll probably like this one. It has the same bravado as Kitchen Confidential. It is a series of essays -- and one short story. Many of them have been previously published, but I hadn't seen any of them before. They are more about traveling and food, although there are some rants. And some essays that aren't about food at all.

I liked it fine. He is vulgar; he swears; he's seedy; but he seems sincere and good-hearted deep down. He certainly has the strength of his convictions.
