White Porcelain

Lately I've been quite fond of matte white porcelain. Something about the purity of the white really appeals to me at the moment.

I just got a set of little bowls by Sarah Paloma (for Christmas -- thanks to her studio sale & my husband). Like the ones below, but not identical.

Also recently purchased: these votives from CB2. They don't have them any longer, which is why I got them for less than a dollar. Yay, me.
But what I'm really loving are reproductions of natural objects.

Coe&Waito have some of the loveliest (see above and directly below), but unfortunately, their prices are also the highest. Which I can certainly understand, as they are handmade. You should certainly look at their website, though -- everything on it is amazing.

I also enjoy Element Clay Studio. Here are some pears:

She also makes some great tiles that look like fungi and moss. Plus: durian! In fact, I loved the tiles long before I saw the pears. Again, though, they are a bit out of my budget right now.

I have found some slightly more affordable versions, which I will now share with you. Paxton Gate has a lovely little white mushroom. The closest I can find to it is this image from here (the ones on the right). She says it's from the Curiosity Shoppe, which is right across the street. Mudpuppy also has some cute little mushrooms, although I prefer the vases.
Noun has these great acorn ornaments, which I would happily use all year long.
A little fortune cookie by Yoga Goat:
Brooklyn Rehab also has a porcelain branch; I can't decide if I like it or not. Apparently not enough to go to the bother of copying a picture...
